Many paths for Green Pioneers

 Many paths for Green Pioneers

Carol McClelland, Phd

the author of the soon to be released Green Careers for Dummies was wise and on the mark in her recent online interview with www.QuestPointnTheMix.com. The book due in early 2010 explores and uncovers the significant transition our society is under going as the old

economy slowly grows green. As she point’s out It was just two years ago that the phrase “going green” began to make its way into our everyday language, in part based on former Vice President Al Gore’s Noble Prize Winning film, An Inconvenient Truth.

In fact it was two years ago that she rebranded her business into GreenCareerCentral.com, a leading career coaching firm that helps those seeking a career in the new green economy. What was surprising to her was the fact that there are over forty five (45) different industries that are “Green” and the list is growing. Carol incorporates her many years  in career coaching into her new book, Green Careers for Dummies which despite the title, the publisher takes pains to emphasize that the books are not literally for dummies but rather “A Reference for the Rest of Us.” To date, over 1,600

For Dummies titles have been published.

It is encouraging to connect with someone who is as knowledgeable as she is. She suggested that those seeking a place in the new green economy recognize that we are pioneers brazing a path to a new future. You can hear the full interview at the new QuestPoint webcast site: www.QuestPointnTheMix.com and download it from there if you choose.
